There are ways to make just about any color on a car look good using wheels, pieces of trim, accent striping, etc. But I just can't see any way to make that M3 look 'good'.

That color reminds me of the old gold/brown Plymouth Dusters way back in the day. And I know some of those retro colors are making a comeback, but not on a German enthusiast's car.

I have that exact same color combo. It looks gorgeous, you're gonna love it!

Just be sure to maintain the hell out of the seats, as the red shows wear and sun-damage really quickly. I have to condition the shit out of mine in this arid climate to keep them looking fresh.

What color (and type: leatherette vs leather) of seats don't require serious maintenance to keep nice? I'm far too low maintenance and would compromise on both color and material to have less upkeep

Well, they all require a certain amount of care to prevent fading and checking. Seems that some of the more intensely coloured ones (Coral Red, Grey, Terracotta, Black) seem to show it a bit more, with the really light colours (Oyster, Taupe, Savannah) are a little less noticeable if they're starting to fade.

Either way, the maintenance isn't hard. Just get some conditioning wipes with sun-protectant, and give the seats a wipe-down every now and then. Only takes a minute, and it will yield a lot more life out of your interior.

Pretty set on coral red int. I reall dig how the marrakess brown looks and wanted to be a bit bold w/ color choice. and dont say i should get marrakesh brown w/ brown int, cus then it will really look like poop hahahaha! all comments and opinions are welcome OFC.

I was searching for pics when I saw this thread. I'm sure you are long past the buying process but I have a marrakesh brown 135i with the coral red interior. I personally like the combo color, it seems to work. I'd be glad to post pics if anyone wants to see.

Not gonna lie, that color in that sort of light looks a lot better than I thought it would.

it's a nice color but save it for a 5 or 7 series.

Okay, this is a somewhat old thread, but I ordered this color combo (6 speed manual, M - Sport, etc.), and to let you guys laugh even further, I did the alpine white trim. I think it's gonna rock. I am so over silver and white for a BMW... and the 3 series even .
So, when the chocolate covered cherry car arrives (end of month at latest), I will post pics. Obviously I don't like to be like everyone else, so I think this car is going to be very cool. Hey, we are all individuals, and of course not everyone will like it.

To each his own I guess? I would not take that kind of gamble on a 40k car, I took a small one on the AW trim with a black interior, but you took it to another level.

I went for Brown exterior with black interior. If I had a dime for every time someone stopped me in parking lot as I was getting into or out of my car to compliment me on the color, I'd have half the car paid off already. The wife just rolls her eyes every time it happens.

The only time my dad has ever pointed out a 1er to me was when it was a Marrakesh Brown 135i. It definitely gets noticed and to those who like that color, it will actually be very valuable since it's such a rare color. It's still a gamble but if you love the color then all the more power to you.

Certainly. BUT, a lot of people don't like the 1 series all together. It's too small for many Americans. I guess I don't want to buy a car based upon what I think other people might like or buy from me. Heck, I may just keep the car long-term since I doubt I'll be able to get anything like it ever again. Even the 6 cylinder will probably become obsolete in the 1 series very soon.
For me, the black interior with AW trim would not be something I would do. So, to each their own, and I hope you love your car
