Real life look at how a 1M Convertible would look (converted/fake 1M cabrio?)
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com The lack of orange stitching on the seats means this is either not a full conversion (with 1M interior) or just a convertible 1 Series with 1M body panels and parts attached. |

Why did the license plate move from the intercooler area to the bumper in the second shot? The plate in the intercooler grill would seriously diminish the cooling.
I have to say it, but I think this is butt ugly. The hood and the matte colored green/gray wrap. Those wheels are awful too. Sorry if I've offended someone's taste. |

I found another pic of that flat primer grey 1M Vert. I gotta say I prefer either render(either of the blue ones) over this real life 1er.
Something just doesn't look right about those hood to fender gaps to me. But then again every M3 style hood I've seen has huge panel gaps. Only the ActiveE hood seems to really have a high panel gap quality to it.

I'm sure glad there was no cabrio. Kind of defeats the purpose of the car plus there would be a lot more 1M's around = less exclusive.

Meh. I'm not sure the lines of the 1SMC really lend themselves well to a 'vert. The Z4 lines really work well with top/topless. Not sure I can say the same for the 1M. Btw...why can't anyone stop molesting these!?
How about a nice ol' fashioned stock 1M?

I think a shot of Valencia Orange would have made this mod look pretty solid.

Not feeling it. Should be left as a coupe.

Those brakes look really small to be a 1M. I wouldn't doubt if either of these verts were nothing more than 128's with some extensive body work. |

Interesting. However, with a cabriolet one must accept increased weight and reduced stiffness which reduce the edge the vehicle can hold during fast cornering.

1M hatch would be cool, but kind of pointless.
