A few ?'s for any AZ 1addicts
Hi everyone, I am in AZ and am looking at doing ED for a 135i towards later July/early August. I am located in AZ, and was wondering if anyone recommended a specific dealer in the state and/or and particular SA. Also, if any of you have done ED and would be willing to answer a few questions I had, please PM me! Thanks in advance!

ED = European Delivery....When I met with someone at BMW Tucson they said they didn't have any more allocation slots avalible to order a 135i for me (this was on 5/26) so now I have to order mine through Chapman BMW

I bought my 128 form North Scottsdale...
Went to chapman first but we couldn't agree on terms and I kind of got a snobbish vibe during the 3 hours I was there... Not that NS aren't snobs....but they were direct and to the point... If you go to Chapman, James Bond(yes that's his real name) Is pretty cool my SA from NS was Alexander Smith....a little rough around the edges but catered to my every whim without quesiton. good luck |

I have prepared an offer on a 135i that I would like to take with me when I meet with the dealers, it includes two configured prices (MSRP and Invoice) What I want to offer is the invoice price plus an additional $800-&1200 for dealer profit. So my question to you is, which dealer do you think I would have better luck at with this offer? |

I think you would have a better chance with Chapman. When I went in to negotiate and see what they could offer me I easily got them to take off $2000 off MSRP. Give it a try, they specifically said they were more interested in "moving units" rather than making maximum profit off each one.

If one Chapman has an allocation the other does as well. The two locations draw from the same allotment. Good luck.

Not living in AZ right now so what can I expect to get nicked for sales tax? I think I read somewhere that AZ has different sales tax rates by towns?
Thanks. |

It seems like there are quite a few AZ people on here. I'm interested in a 128i cp, and there only seems to be 1 available 2008 in the entire state, and the dealer's first offer was only $1.1k off MSRP. It's not even optioned exactly the way I would want it either so I am leaning towards ordering an 09.
Has anyone ordered an 09 yet, and what kind of price did you get? N. Scottsdale said they had 3 open slots for a 128i with delivery in October, and the ones they've sold have primarily been at MSRP (not sure, if that's true, though). Chapman delivery wouldn't be until mid-November--haven't discussed pricing yet. I haven't contacted Chapman in Scottsdale--I figured that any offers they give would be the same as Camelback. However, has any one gotten a better deal from one Chapman over the other? Thanks! |

At least the are offering something off of MSRP. At one point, MSRP was the discount.
Both Chapman locations share the vehicle allocations, so you are correct, the same availabilities would hold true for both dealerships as long as the SA knew what he was talking about. I went through James Bond at Camelback and he was great to work with.
