Choke at 6000 ish rpm?

So finally i reach 1200miles mark and decide to open up a little bit. Manual mode sport button on, floor it and as soon as it reach 6000 it choke and pause for few seconds so i have to let off, something like fuel cut or rev limiter. It not happen only once just eveytime i floor it now. Only mod is K&N drop in. Any thought? Thanks in advance

Hmm, maye not the same thing, but there's a safety mode that temporarily limits revs to around 5000 rpm. I've seen it happen twice, both times in very fast sweeping turns on track, so I thought it was fuel starvation. But I've seen other people post about it here and it is definitely an ECU safety mode. Both times it happened to me, it went away almost immediately.

what exactly happens? Does it just hold rpm at 6K or does it bounce a limiter?

Or does it keep going but with reduced power? These car have a pretty hefty torque cliff above about 6K, sure you arent mistaking that for something amiss?

If its in first then theres a very distinct possibility that youre simply starting to break lose and the TC is kicking in.

Try accelerating the same way in 2nd or in 1st with DCT mode engaged.

Doesnt matter. The car can very easily break tires loose in 1st...doesnt matter what set.

Not necessarily. Peak power is at about 6K and the car still has a lot of torque going at that point.

Does a little yellow icon pop up on the dash?

The only reason the car would ever do something like that in my experience is due to the TC kicking in and cutting throttle

If its not that I cant really tell you. But im serious when I say turn off the TC and try the same thing again.
