Installed, but finished after the sun went down. I'll take some pics before work tomorrow during the daylight hours. They look pretty good.

So I installed it today and the weather was decent but then again it was 5:30PM. Not a lot of sunshine left so I did the best I can do with comparison. HIDs wont be compared until next Monday (CAMAROSS and I had an issue with a resistor and he is sending me another one). On to the pics:
LUX vs. Dtec LUX vs. Brex LUX by itself: Just my opinion so far... its bright for plug and play. Damn good distribution in my opinion on both AE. Its not as bright as HIDs but I think we all knew that. The 6500k is very close to STOCK XENON lights and so it matches very well. Will take pics tomorrow morning as well but next step is to compare to HIDs on a side by side shot. |

haha no worries. I still need to see these in daytime but very please. They fit nicely too!
very good indeed, I knew brightness wasn't an issue but ring distribution was my biggest concern. As a critic of other brands, the outter ring is actually visibly lit. |

when you do a comparison to the HID's, i think the most interesting to do woulld be to set your camera to manual , underexposed, and take a picture of just the outer ring of LUX and then the HID. that will probably give the best comparison . Thanks again! |

6k... the other two on the right is 8k ish... I just took the pic today before it got dark but I will have the correct settings tomorrow to show true colors. Today was just showing how bright they were and how well lit they are in the outter ring...

I have the same question. Out of curiosity, why don't 1 series LUX use the same LEDs as the recently updated LUX H8, which are 6500k if I remember correctly? I'm hoping we aren't getting the older parts from LUX H8. I hate to be a pain in the butt with all these questions but I want to understand the product before I throw down +$200 for these. Thanks in advanced.

In order to make the 1-series headlight look correct, i was able to get much better results with these 2 LED's, rather then what i'm currently using in the LUX H8 version. Its not that the 1-series LED's are worse or older, then are just simply different with their own benefits. With the Color - no unfortunately there will not be any different colors offered at this time. LED's dont often come in blueish hues, and finding them is next to impossible. |

You are missing some other equlayy important items... Ease of installation and modifying existing parts. Which will be included as part of my overall review this weekend

Regarding ease of installation, it's the LUX hands down--no contest. Nevertheless, if the HID's had superior light distribution than the LUX, I'd go with the HIDs even though its installation is more challenging. |
