Just got my windows tinted

Just got my windows tinted yesterday. I went to Umbra Window Tinting in Schaumburg, Il. It cost $180 for 35% all around. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Thanks. I'm really happy with it. The only thing is the dot matrix on the windows. The tints dont stick really well to it and theres nothing they can do about it, he said, but i should bring it back in a week once its all dry and he'll try to get it to stick better around those edges where the dot matrix is. Regardless, it looks great.

Yeah car is pretty dirty lol. Haven't had time to wash it, and its been 70 degrees that past couple days.....in Chicago....in November!

I dont think it is metallic. Its the Formula One classic series.

wow! indian summer for you guys!

if that is ceramic film that is damn cheap!! usually a ceramic job is like $350 plus.

if the dot matrix doesnt work out for you, ask him to put a vinyl strip over it.

looks good bro, i got a Titanium Sliver 135i and did 25% tint all the way around, I had the 35% on my old Jetta. I deffly like the darker look plus it helps out at night since our cars are low, i got all these hillbillies here in Ohio wit their lifted pick-up wit retro fit HIDs blinding the crap out of me. So the 25% works good for me.

Thanks everyone. I'm really happy with the percentage I did. I like that it looks darker when looking in because of the dark interior, but looking out, its perfect; not too dark, not too light.

I had to bring it back to the place I had it done because I noticed a few bubbles on the passenger side, he replaced the whole tint and is going to replace the whole tint on the rear windshield too because he saw a lot of bubbles. I mean you cant see them unless your looking for them, so they aren't thatbad.. but he said he'll just redo it.

Looks good, but I'm biased 'cause we got the same 35% tint on our Space Gray M Sport 135i!

Try running your finger in a cloth/paper towel around the dot matrix areas, applying a bit of pressure. Once the tint has had time to dry out you should find that it sticks better in these areas.

Yeah I am going to have to try that. Its been a couple weeks so it should be able to stick better. I still need to get the rear windshield replaced because there are a lot of bubbles. I just havent had a chance to bring it back there yet.
