BMW - PPK Additional Radiator

Anyone install this for track day use? On track, I see peak coolant temps at 223 degrees and oil temps at 288 degrees. I know the engine computer targets ~194-203 degrees for coolant during high load conditions. My 09 135i is a stock N54, manual transmission with factory oil cooler.
I know some have had good luck with the CSF radiator, and some not so much. Better to go with adding cooling capacity to the coolant or to the oil?
Thanks!

-Joe

Much easier to get an aftermarket radiator. You can add an additional oil cooler to the driver's side to get the oil temps down a bit.

I'd put more effort into cooling your oil. 223 degrees isn't very hot for coolant. 288 degrees is extremely hot for oil.

That said, I'd do the CSF radiator over trying to retrofit the PPK cooler. Doing the PPK cooler involves changing out cooling lines that run around and behind the engine. I was looking into doing it on my 128i.

Evolution Racewerks has their Sports and Competition series oil cooler upgrades, which have a lot of users here. You can also build your own with some AN line, fittings, and a bigger cooler.

Thanks for the tips. Went with CSF radiator; going to try a DIY parallel oil cooler.

I used the stock PPK radiator setup for a parallel oil cooler. I did this to use factory mounts and such, as well as keep clearance for my brake cooling ducts. You should read this thread: https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1633704

Nevermind...I see we already talked on that thread! lol.
