I have to make some time to run a few laps in the Ferrari Virtual Academy. Count me in as another sim racin' junkie. You guys hit up iRacing at all?

no, I hate windows and got rid of my bootcamp partition too because of disk space (only 160gb total). I haven't cleared enough to reinstall. plus I have a macbook pro 13" so not sure if it would run well?
p.s. almost have that ferrari... got the formula gt.. just too much grinding for me lol

Now this is interesting. I wonder if Lotus is actually trying to replace Trulli, or if they are just giving Chandhok some seat time in preparation for a possible race seat at the Indian GP? Either way, interesting stuff.

F1.com says that DRS activation zone will be from the exit of turn 11 to the chicane. Seems like an awful long distance? Coupled with the front straight right after, i predict another orgy of overtaking like Turkiye

Currently yes, but we should wait till actual race.
FIA can still chance the DRS activation point to a later point if they felt the "delta-speed" is too easy to overtake or not safe enough for drivers to slow down for the chicane.

For example, during Chinese GP, the DRS activation point pushed further back on the long straight before the race.

Haven't taken the plunge yet as i'm still specing out my driving rig and don't want a montly fee to play yet.

Interesting, thanks for this. hopefully they can find a happy balance, like silverstone or china.

The one on the left is Mercedes W196 Streamliner, and Rosberg has open wheel Mercedes W196.
