How would you say the n55 mids affect the sound of your setup?

I have the same downpipes and axle-back, but with n54 mids

Would you say the n55 mids make it a lot louder?
Rasp?

And a lot more backfires and crackling?

Not bad at all.... sounds pretty damn good to me. How is the volume overall? Tolerable for a DD?

The N55 midpipes made a pretty big difference in volume and raspyness. I had backfires and crackling without them, but now it's much louder. Cold starts in my garage actually scare my girlfriend awake in the morning.

I like my exhaust to sound loud and aggressive, and I don't really DD the car so for me it's great. There is a spot at around 70mph where the drone is pretty bad though. It does turn a lot of heads.

I had a virtually straight piped system as well with AR DPs, CP-E mids (straight pipes, 2.5") and a CP-E axleback (basically just a race muffler). It was loud as shit with quite a lot of drone and rasp between 1500-2500 RPMs but I liked it. Running 1M mids now due to smoking turbos. The cats get rid of 100% of the rasp and maybe 20-30% of the volume and drone.
