Meguiar's Ultimate Compound to the rescue!
Quote:
Always nice to have another Canadian on board. I too recently did a switch going from an 2008 Sedona Red 128i (auto) to a 2008 Sedona Red 128i (6spd). The reason for the swap was to get a 6spd but I also got NAV, leather, and power seats. Both have the Sports Package. The down side was that my first 128i had lower km's and the paint was in pristine shape. The new one has/had quite a few scratches and swirls. I have been working away at it with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and it is slowly looking better. Good luck with the Sapphire Black! |

We are in the same boat re paint quality. The paint condition of my white 135i is far better than the black 135i I just picked up. I'm hoping to get a Portercable orbital polisher for my upcoming birthday, to rectify some serious scratches in the black paint. Good move on trading the auto for a manual transmission! I hope soon to drive some of your roads around (and to) Vancouver, in particular the Fraser Canyon (#1 hwy) and the Sunshine Coast road. |
