bad ignition coils

My 128 starting shaking and the SES light came on. Since I was out of warranty, I thought ok - this is my first major repair expense. To my surprise this is covered under the emission warranty - 15 years/150K miles! They replaced all 6 ignition coils and spark plugs. My 1er is a Ca SULEV which has this longer coverage. Almost couldn't believe it.

Thought I share this with my fellow 1ers in Ca.

Mine too. 2013 with 36k on the clock. They didn't replace the spark plugs though. Should I request that?

Doesn't hurt to ask. The paperwork says the plugs were damaged by the coils.
