Dealer Replacing My DME
Brought my car in to the dealer as a message on my iDrive popped up stating that it would be in reduced power mode.
Through diagnosis procedures, many parts/modules for my DCT were replaced. However, those parts were not the issue so I got a bunch of free parts under warranty! After a more thorough diagnosis, it was determined that the main DME went bad so they ordered me a brand new one. They'll be programming it today. My car is a 2012 135i DCT w/ PPK. My question: Will this new DME be better or same as my old DME? Should I notice any differences? I feel like I'm getting a new car! |

It wont be a "better" one per se just a replacement one,
no you shouldn't notice any differences. It could have a firmware update and the latest software. The feel could be down to coding various things, but you'll get is as per standard factor code |
