SoCal Dealer Recommendations
After considering the rest, decided to go with the best. Can anyone recommend a good SoCal dealer to go with for my 135i order? Thanks-

Do NOT go to Nick Alexander. Their dealer prep is crap, and it's in one of the most unsafe areas in LA. I took a shortcut to get there once, and seriously thought I wouldn't make it out alive. Gang bangers in South Central mean business.

I got my car from Nick Alexander, I made it out alive
It isn't too bad during the day I guess, I'm not sure what it's like there at night. I only got a descent deal from them for my 08 135, and I haven't not gone back for service. My Sis in law got her Mini there as well, didn't get a great deal at all. And they want over 1k for a 40 or 50k mile service.. Insane... My feeling for Nick Alexander is neutral... I'll give them a 3star for BMW, 1star for Mini... |

I had a very positive experience buying my wife's 335i a week ago at Bob Smith using Larry Shapiro. His first price was competitive and after I searched the other dealers in the area, I came back to him and he met the best I could do. Not only that but when we realized the car he had on the lot had an interior trim we did not care for, he found another one and worked a dealer trade at the same price.
I don't ask for much from car salesman; just that they are honest, competitive and don't play games. I can honestly recommend him. Edit: you might be wondering why I'm lurking the 1 forums. I love my wifes 335 so much, that I'm seriously considering a 135 for myself. |

i Always recommend Mike who works the internet sales at Century BMW in Sherman Oaks. I know of at least a couple of people who went to him and ended up buying their 1'er. He's cool and not a salesman type. He got me the car back when most BMW places didnt know it was available.

Stephan from Crevier. Walked in, did a test drive, sat down to order the car, told him I would pay $500 over invoice and no more. After talking to his manager for about 5 minutes it was done, did all the paper work and got out of there.
Quick and simple.

I've purchased from Century West BMW, Crevier Mini, Bob Smith and Steve Thomas.
We had a decent experience at Century West with the Z3, but they really didn't step up all that well when we had lots of problems with it. We bought our Mini from Crevier and they were tidy to deal with but weren't really that close to where we lived so never when back. We've bought 2 or 3 from Bob Smith and my wife dearly loves their service folks. I wasn't as impressed, though they weren't bad. Just... disinterested seemed to be the best word. For my 1, I thought I'd try something new and went out to Camarillo to Steve Thomas. While the ED process wasn't the easiest (mostly due to BMW I think) the sales folks were responsive and helpful throughout. But most importantly, the service folk have been FANTASTIC. That is something truly unique from most dealers.

+1 on Crevier. I think Sunnie is his name. They always go the extra mile for me. Example: I had my car egged (under the hood!) and they offered to clean off all of the crap for me that was cooked onto the various parts in the engine bay for free.

do NOT go to new century in alhambra for car purchases...sales manager was unprofessional and unwilling to negociate at all even though the sale advisor was trying her best to be accomodating.
