What else do you drive?
We had a thread recently about what you would replace your 1er with, and the consensus was that there really isn't much out there that checks all the same boxes. So, a similar question - what else do you have in the stable to supplement your 1 series?
I had a Tacoma but hated it, now have a 6-speed Mazda3. It isn't as fast as my 128i but has enough power for a DD (184hp), handles pretty well, and has tons of features missing from my 128i. The shifter is excellent. |

My other car is a 1983 BMW 320is. This car makes me feel like twenty-something. It's quite fun.

2015 Lexus RX350 2008 135i E88 w/Dinan S3 Each serves its role very well. Problem I have is I cannot find a replacement for the 135 or the Colorado that might be acceptable |

My 128i was my new daily. My weekend car is a a 2008 Z51 equipped Corvette with some mods that I've had for awhile.
Always had Corvettes as weekend rides. My wife drives a typical SUV. Last edited by Rmtt; 03-03-2019 at 05:15 AM.. |

ZX10guy,
I understand the dilemma! I used to have a 900SS SP and it started my love of V-twins. Intoxicating! I've also done a couple Keith Code schools at Barbers on their S1000RR and that is an incredible bike. But I decided that, for me, it would be wasted anywhere except on a track. Actually, with me most of it was wasted on the track anyway, but I digress... I just sold an '84 R100RS and replaced it with the mini-duke. I've only had it about two weeks and the weather has been horrible here, so I've only put about 90 miles on it. But I think it's going to loads of fun for our typical back road rides once I get past the break-in period. I'd keep the ZX10. Sounds like you've got it well sorted out and it's already in the garage! Cheers! Craig |
