Is there any other option for headlight replacement aside from spending $1200 a set?

I need two new headlight assemblies, as I have some damage that appears to be located inside the light. i've tried buffing the outside which didn't change anything.

I have the Bi-Xeon Adaptive lights, and the cheapest i can find for an OEM equivalent are the Valeo brand headlight assemblies which are nearly $600 each!

Do I have any other options besides this? I'd really like to keep the OEM look.

These were popular for a short time: http://www.m o d b a r g a i n s.com...lights-e82.htm

Also, buffing a headlight lens is very ineffective without sanding it prior. Most of the shimmer that you're seeing is pitting in the UV protective coating that is factory sprayed on the lens. It's a tedious job, but you could sand/polish that out to look a lot better.
On the other hand, some of that is heat damage and that can't be corrected.
I've done it on numerous cars and while it improves the light quality and overall appearance, it would take a lot of boredom or a car for show to do it again.

Ah, I didn't pay attention to that aspect. I could've sworn there were some for Xenon cars..

I've considered the clear corner European headlights, but I think they run about $700 USD per light.
ouch!

It doesn't seem like there are any good aftermarket options for cars with xenon adh from factory. I've been looking and looking but have always come up with "halogen cars only" "not for cars equipped with xenon" etc.

Yeah unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any other options for bixenon with adh. Not sure if ecodes would need any coding but I'd imagine they're just plug and play. for what you'd pay for those, I'd just buy clear corners and crack open my OEM lights

From what I hear these headlamps have a poor design which allows water to drip right on the control module. I have that issue currently and been looking for any option. I was informed by a good friend who is a BMW tech that we should not use aftermarket headlamps since for some reason the electronics act up and he has seen multiple fires in cars due to this.

You're in NYC there should be plenty of places that could fully restore the lights. One I know is Lightworks

OP - I have the same thing. Like there is a residue on the inside of the lens. Typical restoration wont do a thing as this is on the inside. I also noticed it's worse on one side where water leaked in a year ago.

I'm looking into trying to pull the lens off and clean the inside myself.

I'm probably going to send my lights to get retrofitted with new angel eyes and black out. I'll just rent a car while they're being done. Much cheaper than buying a spare set lol

I have an e82 120d of 2012 with halogen headlights from factory and I want to replace them with angel eyes with the lit eyebrow (attached photo). Any sources?
