Do you have your own tech at a bmw dealer who you request for? And if so, do they always make sure that only the requested tech will perform the work?

Yes, I do have a particular tech that I ask for. As mentioned above, he had a helper who unfortunately did some damage to my car. All easily repairable and replaceable. And, on them.

On a positive note the new suspension kicks ass!
How about some details on the suspension?

We're between weather systems, so I thought I'd tidy things up a bit.

Took my 1er to autozone and had my battery tested. Showed 12.34v & 65% charge.

Guess I'll start budgeting for a new battery soon. 3.5 years on a battery these days seems normal(?) SMH. :-/.

How long to wait?

It's Bilstein B8 struts and shocks with the BMW Performance springs. Good combo!

Esteban - were you able to find a replacement 313 or could they repair the scratch?

I am thinking I need to find a spare soon just to protect against what you ran into.

Fronts are still available, probably while supplies last. Think the rears are NLA. Got a new front wheel from getbmwparts.com. $211.38 plus shipping and handling. P/N 36-11-6-787-645.

Last I checked the 18" 313M wheels were still available but at about twice the price of the 18" Performance 313s.

That's way cheaper than I would have expected!

Yeah, I agree. When I originally bought mine in 2011 they were ~$500 each. Don't really care what this particular wheel costs me because my dealer is reimbursing me, but still a good price. Must be a "closeout" price.

It might even make sense to buy another if they're going to be out of stock soon, at that price.

True, but this is a staggered setup and the rears are NLA, and with the way things go I'd buy an extra front and then probably damage a rear wheel. lol

Also, I have an extra front now, just a scratched one. :/

Haha fair enough. Are they painted? They look polished. My 262s are painted and can be repaired if mildly damaged. If they are polished it may be more difficult to repair.

I believe it's a machined finish with a clear coat.

Plus, they're two-tone so there's some paint as well.

Perfect for a full size spare to keep in the garage.

Maybe attaching a battery tender/charger would extend the life of your battery.

Is the car daily driven? Do you park it near a power point?

I drive mine for about 3 hours a week; and after a month or two it depletes enough to give me the battery low warning.

Rather than buying a new battery, I bought a new charger - now I drop it on a c-tek charger for the weekend every few weeks to bring it up to 100% and haven't had a problem since.

I don't know how old the current battery is, it's probably due for replacement; but this strategy has given me an extra year so far.

This is on my bolted tires.
Swear we heard them hit fenders, but no marks at all. Not sure how but I'll take it.

Sooooooo FUN!

It's my daily driver. I have a charger & do hook it up to it occasionally. I'll probably hook it up more often. But if the battery is only charging to 65% I expect I'll get another year before it needs to be replaced. I haven't gotten a low battery warning yet.

Didn't happen today, but I finally got around to editing/uploading it. I was able to take my 135i to Road America, which has always been a dream of mine. I abused the car and had so much fun!

This was my first time doing anything like this and I didn't have an instructor so be easy on me

(Had some fun with an M4 at 11:38)

suh-weet!! Wish I'd spent time on RA- that looked like a great way to spend a day!

I just replaced my ashtray with the OE storage bin, and completely tore down my center console, cleaned 83,000 miles of crap from all the seams, treated (cleaned then soaked with conditioner really...) the shift boot and both the e-brake boot and handle.

Sooooooo much better now!
