SGM - Black wheels?

All I can think about after seeing these black wheels is doing the same with my SGM - Am I crazy? Thoughts please!

It's bold but the shadowline trim will help buffer the transition, if you have it. Tint would help blend the wheel color also.
If you love it, do it!

Nice, VERY nice.
I don't think the photo does it justice.
Would be even better with Yellow calipers or something brighter to offset the rims.
But I am a sucker for Black on Black

Yeah, my thinking of being able to pull it off is having shadowline and a 30% tint. I don't think I would want to do anything but black wheels (i.e dark grey, gunmetal ect...) that would end up matching the car.

I have notice a lot of cars lately with all black rims, Its pretty nice to have black rims due to break dust and dirt. The bad thing is its becoming very common. I almost went black but decided against it. I went with a lighter gunmetal look I have all the advantages of blk rims but I still have plenty on contrast. Let me just say its much much better than the OEM color and are going to make wonderful winter rims once my BBS come.

I'm having my wheels powdercoated black on SGM also...like the look and can put the black Roundels on center caps also along with CF splitters and diffuser, 35% tint, and body color painted eyelids and black grill with body colored borders and of course red calipers to match the interior along with CF front and rear Roundels to match the spoiler and mirror covers.... I liiiiike it.

Gunmetal color would be ideal.

Question for those of you who powdercoated the OEM rims: did you keep the OEM silver underneath, or did you strip the paint first? If so, what stripping method was used?

I've sent a set of OZ for painting before and they stripped the original paint using some sort of blasting method - which did the job but also left the surface fairly rough. I wouldn't say pitted, but just rough.

Thanks...
