New whip is FOB!
Hi everybody.
I just thought I would introduce my self to the community now that I am finally a proud owner of a manual Alpine White "09 135i . From what I understand their are not many 135i in Taiwan (Importer says I'm #8), If any of you lucky 7 happen to view this forum please feel free to say "Hi". It would be great to meet up with some fellow 1addicts and explore some of the great Mt. roads Taiwan has to offer! -Unko (I attached some photos of the un-boxing below) |

Cograts on your car!
Btw... is THAT how they ship cars to Taiwan? Just stick it in a container and some blocks of wood under teh wheels!?!? Seems like a car could get damage pretty easily durring transport. strange. |

Thanks!
Thought I was out here in deep space posting in the Asia region forum! It did have some plastic covering the seats . I kinda thought they would used some sort of tie downs or chains anchored to the bottom of the container that would be attached to the car some how. It seemed to have made the trip form So Cal with out a scratch luckily . |

User name 'Unko' .... uh did you perchance live in Australia before? Owned a Mazda 3? It's a coincidence considering the guy I'm thinking of was also Taiwanese...
Cool whip though! |

Oh I see. All good then. Enjoy your car bro... it must be awesome driving it in the mountains... do you have any driving video's in Taiwan? I've seen one where the guy driving nearly crashes like 100+ times... great entertainment it was. lol

Not your typical youtube unboxing video! Congratulations on the car and I'm sure you're going to stick out like a light bulb in the dark owning one of the few e82's over there.

Actually I have not had the chance to drive the car at all . Because the car is not sold domestically here in TW It has to go through a pretty extensive testing process before I can get my hands on it.
I plan on getting a GoPro camera to document some of the epic roads they have here. I'll be sure to post some links when that happens. Yea... the driver education here seems like it could use some further development. I've seen some crazy maneuvers on the roads. Definitely need to play heads up hockey when your behind the wheel here. |

Hey mate, congrats on the purchase! I'm sorry that I'm so late on this thread and unfortunately I am not one of the 135i owners in Taiwan... but I am a Taiwanese 135i owner!
If you find out about any cheap aftermarket parts in Taiwan fill us in, I go back regularly and is back again for X'Mas this year, would love to pick something up for my car . |

Hi Liub,
No sorry! Thanks, I just got my car 2 weeks ago. It took forever to get all the test done that imported cars go through here. I think I have a source for (cheap) CF parts here in TW (not sure if they are TW or China made). I was told they are good quality parts with good CF layup. I have not seen them yet... but I will will be looking into them soon. I'll let you know whats up when I find out more info.

I was told that 20 have been sold and delivered to owners in Taiwan.. but I have yet to see one. As for mine, I am on a list for next year's allocations and those numbers are not for sure.. They have told me a scheduled delivery for 04/2012, so I am not so fortunate. I am counting down the days...
