Window Drop Cycle - over modulating . . .
I'm having a problem with the window drop cycle over modulating.
In normal operation when unlocking or lifting the door handle the window drops about 1/2". My problem is it is over modulating. The car will sit there and run though the drop cycle 9 or 10 times for almost 30 seconds, both doors. It acts as if it is possessed! Anyone run into this before? 2010 135i w/ 19k miles. Thank you. .

I believe there is a procedure to reset the computer's understanding of the window position. Maybe that would help? You can find it if you search for window problem or window regulator issues on this forum or on the E90 forums.

I'm not sure that will do the trick. a couple of weeks back I hooked up the trickle charger thinking if the battery was low it might cause electrical gremlins (like in the P cars).
Anyway, tonight I went down to the storage barn to get something out of the car and wow, it sat there and cycled both passenger and driver's windows for almost five minutes. No kidding. Very bizarre. I tried locking it/ unlocking it and that didn't help. I'm surprised no one else has had this issue - at least it was not found when searching. I'll bring it in as soon as they get my airbag - lol. Regards, .
