Best way to clean edge of clear bra

White 2009 128. I had pff installed a month ago. From day 1 I have two edges that look black unless in direct sunlight. I took the car back to the installer who said its just a shadow. Usually not a huge deal but on a white car my eye is drawn to it every time I look at the car. I've read about cleaning it with alcohol but I'm not comfortable doing that. What is a safe way to clean clear bra edges?

Don't have experience with clear bras, but couldn't you just clean it with a damp MF towel? Like, place the towel on your nail and then just go along the edge, nomsayin'. Dunno how to explain it better.

I regret having this clear bra installed. It looks like shit after a few years and now I'm having to deal with trying to remove it.

What brand of film is it?
How many miles have you driven since install?
What specifically looks bad? (lack of clarity, yellowing, dirty edge, bubbles...)

With high quality film and a good installer, clear bra should look great for many years. The higher end films even have warranties of 5-10 years.

The car had the clear bra installed already when I purchased it, so I really had no choice at the time. It did look good at the time of purchase 6 years ago. Fast forward to today though...bubbling, edges peeling back, dirt trapped underneath, etc......What's the best method of removing this crap? I can attempt to peel it off but the nasty sticky glue residue it leaves behind is a nightmare to remove!

It sounds like it needs to be replaced... Clear bra has come a long way in the past 10 years. The products available on the market now are far superior, however all clear bra does have a lifespan, and cheaper films may need to be replaced as soon as just a few years. More expensive films will get 5-10 years of good life. You can't fault the product if it has saved you from 6 years of rock chips. Remove it, and have a professional install a new kit.
