Aero for track *Recommendation request*
Hey guys I'm looking for your recommendations on which options you'd consider for proper functioning track aero.
I track between high speed tracks and some that are slower/technical. Gaining stability on the high speed straights and firming down the rear end is my focus. I've never utilized aero as function on my previous cars so dropping some knowledge will be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance! |

Rear downforce via a spoiler or wing (wing is more efficient, but harder to get right) will settle the rear at speed, but it has to be balanced at the front or you may end up with lift there, which you definitely do not want. A splitter, preferably fairly deep and definitely properly supported, is fairly easy to set up (some guys use plywood). Unless you're planning on systematic testing via cotton tufts or paint drops to chart airflow, it's always going to be a trial-and-error sort of an exercise.
