But do you know how much power YOUR car puts down? I have a dyno thread and I've done my own dyno - My car with a intake and tune is more powerful than all but a handful of full bolt on cars. Without a baseline, you're really not doing much.

Exactly. We all know they put down ~200 and that you can expect a variance of +-5hp, unless someone has a completely goofy dyno.

I'm not going to waste 100 euros to get a baseline. I'm sorry Axiom. I am a soldier, I get paid less than minimum wage and work 70+ hours a week. I have to plan and budget everything. To include the tune. So I'm sorry.

my car is brand new, so I'm positive I'm making as close to the 230 Hp that bmw is stating, and if you calculate 18% parrasitic drivetrain loss, I'm at or about 198hp at the wheel. Given there is a + or - 5% varriance in OEM power. I know each engine is different. That's been shown.

End state is I most likely will be the first 128i to be dyno'd with the Evolve tune and swap on a full stock exhaust. (for now, headers are on the list now!)

Realistically, it's the dynos that are different, not the engines. BMW is not a company that has significant engine variance.

Well to update this thread, I sent an email to Imram at Evolve today! Im awaiting his reply before I make my purchase.

I ordered the evolve tune today! I cannot wait to get it. I've already scedualed dyno time and will report my findings.

I'm not driving 4 hours and dealing with customs again to pick it up. Sent an email to manny at active autowerkes and with in 24 hours is was paid for and shipped. Just a big thanks to @Manny for his help!
