Yes and No.... That is the ultimate goal of most manufacturing companies, to have the product quality independent of who actually assembles the products. Some do it better than others. There is even whole programs at companies to do just this and make sure "best practices" get distributed to all of the world-wide facilites. It's not as easy as it sounds, but it looks like, from what I've seen/heard/read BMW has gotten it right..

BTW my 330xi was built in Munich

On my last visit to my local BMW Center they had received a large shipment of E90s. Just an FYI, but the majority of them were built in Regensburg. I also noticed the same thing at Global BMW in Atlanta. Most of their inventory were Regensburg built E90s.

It seems my for Ireland the 320d is build in Munich. Our right-hand-drive cars are similar to the UK spec except that our speedos are in km/h since last year like the rest of Europe (no inner ring for miles/h, just kms)
