Want GP Thunders and new roundels. Which online vendor?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy some GP Thunders and some CF replacement badges for the bonnet, boot and wheel centers. I need to get them from an online vendor as I'm in NZ and can't get those bits locally. Can anyone recommend an online shop? I've found: Mod bargins - http://www.**********s.com/gdept.aspx?dept_id=12-016 and bimmian - http://www.bimmian.com/82 in the vendors forum but they both sell roundel covers, I want actual replacement badges. Can anyone point my towards a vendor that they have used before? I know I've seen some other vendors around on the forums but after searching I just can't find them. |

Hit up Fibre Optix for the badges (and any other stuff you need)...
http://www.fibreoptix.biz/ I have one of their roundels on my car (as well as one on my friend's car) and have a spoiler & OEM-style diffuser on order. I'm waiting to see what he has to offer in the way of hoods and mirror caps too. The quality is PHENOMENAL, ordering was no-nonsense and the stuff got here quick! (Click for larger images)

That website is down though. I would guess that they went out of business, after all of their lack of success on all of the BMW boards.

The OP asked where to get good parts and I recommended what I feel is a great place. Just because things didn't work out for them on the forum doesn't necessarily mean they aren't able to offer a great product and no-hassle ordering via the website or telephone. I know some aren't happy about the way things worked out when dealing with them here, but hope to keep any nonsense from creeping in to this thread... EDIT: Just checked and the site seems to be back up. They must've been making changes or something.

Was there an issue with this vendor on the forum? I must have missed that.
I have the same question as GigEm93 can you get a rear badge as well? Ideally I'd like to get the wheels done too. If I can't get a front and rear one at the same time I might wait until they become available. I'm amassing quite a collection of parts to go on teh car when it finally gets here! |

As much as I love the look of it, I can't see doing just the front and having the front and back not match. And probably the wheels too. Hopefully they come out with those soon as well.

Ah thank you larryn I didn't know we had that forum.
I have to admit that the badge does look very nice, but I have also seen some on ebay, not as nice as that but pretty good. I've sent fibreoptix an email from their website anyway so will wait and see what comes back, I'll let you guys know Yeah the reason I want these is because I'm getting the CF rear spoiler, diffuser and mirror caps. My car will be SGM and so I figure that after I tint it it would be cool to darken up everything. Eventual plan would be to get some gunmetal wheels or something like that too. |
