Where to get 135i PE Mod done?

I've called around a few places and I'm not sure if the prices are correct.

Felix muffler - $350
GT customs - $350-400
LGA muffler - $380 + $80 for install

I've been reading that some have gotten it done for $200-250 previously. I'm just wondering if I'm being quoted incorrectly and if they think it's a 335i?

Those are really cheap prices and have to think the quality of the product is really cheap too. Most of us are paying $800 to $1200 for an original BMW performance exhaust.

I think he means they will cut open his muffler and modify it to closely match the OEM PE muffler.....so it's all labour...

Yes the PE Mod, trying to see if anyone else got them done around Toronto to see how much it cost them.

Do it yourself. Jack it up, remove muffler, use a grinder to cut a square, block the holes by welding or exhaust wrap (I blocked one completely and most of the second and it sounds wicked), hire a welder to put the square you cut out back on and you're all set.

What I did for one guy was use high heat jb weld instead of an actual welder and its still good after 3 months and it only costs $10 bucks.

Had mine done at GT.

Matt is an out of this world talented welder.

The exhaust sounds great and has had zero problems since 2017

Does anyone have experience getting their PE mod done on an N54 muffler? Since the mufflers on the N54 and N55 are different, i'm not sure if they'll charge more for labour because theres 2 extra pipes that need to be welded

Do you need the PE mod done to your car? I have a PE Mod muffler off my 2010 135i that I no longer use if you were looking to just buy and have it installed at a way cheaper price.

Try Hot Rod Scott's in Etobicoke

And while you're at it, you should have the secondary cat removed and replaced with bypass pipes. The BMW PE comes with an optional y-pipe.
