Suspension for Track

Hello everyone
I need your advice

Is time for the suspension of my 135 (2012)

The car is not my daily, i only use it for tracks but i go driving to the tracks.

I read a lot but im still confuse and dont know which one to buy

I use Federal 595 RS-RR, have m3 front control arms, dinan camber plates (dont know if that matter for the topic)

Will use slicks in the future as they are not decent tires in my country.

How much do you want to spend and how much adjustability do you want? Are you familiar with suspension dynamics so that you can make adjustments properly?

I have been happy with my Ohlins Road & Track. I had a set of double adjustable ASTs on my e36 and had the sense that they were better but at a much higher cost. I prefer my Ohlins to the TCKs I had on the car for sure.

Go with a good single adjustable monotube shock IMO.

MCS 1WNR ($2500 + springs/camber-plates/spring perches) would be my choice and what I run on my dedicated track car.

Alternatively, Fortune Auto 510s are a great bang for the buck as they include springs and camber plates for $2k. I also run these on my current dual duty M3. I also ran them on my old E46, couldn't tell a huge difference between my MCS tbh. They're just less supple on public roads.

Ohlins are another good option (there's a used set on here for sale at a great price) but you'd want to replace the progressive springs for track and add camber plates on top... At this point you're close to MCS price range for a less performant shock.

If you want something cheaper look at ST XTA as they're basically single adjustable KW clubsports on a budget ($1400ish). Very similar design with camber plates and linear springs included. Really good deal.

My budget is $2000 in the suspension, i have an additional $1000 only in shipping. I just want the basic adjustability. Im not familiar with dynamics

Since you say you want to run slicks, you should aim go get a quality set of coilovers with camber plates. IMO you would be best off with a set like KW Clubsport, Ground control or TC Kline double adjustable. There are many other options depending how much you want to spend. Ideally get a set with 60mm front springs, then you can get the higher spring rates on both front and rear. Possibly combine with firmer-than-stock sway bars if you can.

KW v2 etc would be good for dual duty road and track. However when running full slicks, you will benefit from higher spring rates to make the car more stable, more precise, and have less body roll during high-G cornering and braking. You will need new camber plates, as Dinan "plates" will be insufficient camber for running full slicks.

I've always been a big fan of Ground Control. I have run them on 3 different cars and Jay and the crew have a great service and knowledge.

I ran XIDAs (custom valved ASTs) on my track Miata.

I'd say Ground Control..............or keep saving and make the jump to MCS.

For your budget, you should look at Ohlins Road & Track, TC Kline, and Ground Control. I've heard very good things about all of them. Just remember, most driver impressions are subjective and vary based on ride height, spring stiffness, other suspension mods, wheels, and tires on the car.

Whichever set-up you ultimately decide on, the Dinan camber plates might work, you may just need different upper spring perches.

simultaneously?

How about the Bilstein B16? I can get a used one in my country
