Misfire count
Hey guys, probably being a little paranoid here but I thought I've been getting a very, rare misfire, not awful, just enough to make me think like I was imagining it. Seemed to do it when it was cold, so I hooked up my Bluetooth obd reader and torque and logged some data. After driving around for 20 minutes, seems like I was right. Misfire counts on all cylinders it seems, but only a few after 20 minutes so it's literally maybe one per cylinder a minute. It takes 1/1000 revolutions to set the light for reference IIRC. ANYWAYS, with it being so so so slight, could It be a turbo car thing maybe? It's my first turbo car so I don't know. Also was thinking might just be due for plugs, was wanting to do them anyways since I don't know when they were done. Last, HPFP just barely starting to show signs of issue?

Updoot: Sprung a P0012 code today. Taking off the vanos solenoid and doing the cleaning of it before replacing. I *$(#ing hate Vanos, constant issues with it on my M5 and now the very first thing for this is vanos.

I would start with replacing your spark plugs & maybe your coil packs. The plugs should be changed every 45K miles( or every 25K when running a tune). The coil packs seem to go bad around 90K. Make sure to use BMW dealer bought plugs. Some guys have had "issues" with aftermarket plugs.
After all of that... it might just end up being carbon buildup. That happens about every 50K miles. More so on the N54's than N55's. Good Luck, Dackel
