Nos in an n52?

Should this be taken seriously or something to do as a gag on our n52s? Haven't seen much about in our forums. Any thoughts?

You'd have to be very careful with the tuning, but it could certainly work. N52 pistons aren't the biggest fans of boost...

So, assuming I go forth with this revel move, would you recommend swapping pistons out? It's honestly something I would consider in the future to joke around with people and friends in the street.

That would be the safest course, yes. I don't know who sells OTS pistons for the N52 though...

Neither are the head gaskets, rods, crank, transmission, rear and block for that matter. I would think you'd be ok with a 50-75hp shot but if you're thinking of a 100-200 shot you'd be playing Russian roulette with your ride.

Also BPC's N52 motor AND trans were OK until they reached 500whp I believe.. motor blew at 600 IIRC. Do with this information as you please.

Yep. Not at all sure how it scales with hitting the bottle, but the strength exists.

Also they hit 8200rpm plenty of times, but currently the N54 intake manifold is only able to make power until 7200 (the 3 stage peaks at 6800)

Wonder how things would work with all the basics, 3 stage, intake, milvs, etc. And the nos kit🤔

Next thing is an open manifold (velocity stacks)

That's what they had on that N/A 8200rpm dyno run that made 280whp. Stock manifolds are hilariously cheap to cut up...

I've never rode in a brz or frs. But I had one try to jump me once when out in my Corvette. IIRC....it didn't impress me that much. I didn't even have to downshift from 4th gear to shut that attempt down.

Can't I just rubber band socks over the single stage's cut stacks?

Also why 8200? Max piston velocity?

That's my idea lol The hydraulic lifters bleed-out at that speed and the valves can't open as much as they should (no power benefits). That was the ONLY issue at those speeds. I'd imagine, with a lightweight flywheel and a good harmonic dampener, and solid lifters, this engine could do 9k RPM (I'll have to actually do piston speed calculations) pretty easily

Stock, they're both rated at 205. Ours are 200ish to the wheels. They're slow cars but definitely look nice for a relatively cheap car to purchase. But always satisfying to smoke one 😂

It's been ages since I used NOS as a Power Adder.

Came to terms that it was too addictive as I was filling bottles way too often. Finally got that out of my system and stuck to N/A upgrades aside from the time when I had my Terminator.
