Question about Recaro Sportster CS

I did a search but didnt really find answers to what i am thinking about....
I am considering getting these Recaros... however my main reason for this is so that the driving position is improved. I want to sit lower in the car. Can anyone that has these in their 1M comment on this? are they worth it? installed these are going to run around $5k, which is real money and i dont want to spend that if they are just 'okay.' Id love to hear feedback from anyone that has some experience with this.

Yes, you need them, changes the car. You sit at the hight you should. I would get in my 340i and sit lower than in my 1M...its one part of the car they really got wrong, I now feel like I sit in it rather than on it.

They also hold you much better if you go to the track. Wish I did it sooner.

What did you use for mounts? I’ve been under the impression that this was a partial contributor to the seating height.

Would recommend for sure! -try and get your hands on some performance seats. The OEM/Recaro frame and rails drop you low. If not contact Brey-Kause, they have new rails that mount to OEM sliders. You'll need to source manual OEM seats for the sliders. You can go through the https://www.demon-tweeks.com/us/ to get airbag equipped CSs

Pic of BMWP seat in the "high" position, when used in the low position it sits about 1.5-2in lower.

blackmist222777, I have a set of the Recaro CS seats installed. I love the seats and how they keep me planted. I see you're in the Bay Area. If you're ever in San Jose, I'm more than glad to let you sit in them if you'd like.

I got them installed on my 1M and they are one of my favorite upgrades. I found this combo to be the best for seat height as it gives you the lowest seating position.

Indeed but worth it, the OEM sliders are like butter.

OK, gotta bump this. Can you raise the height? I don't mind sitting higher, just want the option? If you get the wrong mounts and sliders could one sit too low, if they don't mind a higher seating position?

I did not realize there would be so many options, haha! This could be a major project.
