lube polyurethane bushing with wd-40
I've been getting some weird knocking noise from the hotchkis front sway, and I know I need to take it out and relube it. I've tried lubing it using a grease gun to inject grease into the nipple on the mount, but it just ooze out from the side, I think I need to get it all the way around the bushing. So in order to do that I've to take every thing apart, which I don't have time to do for at least another month or so...
So, I want to know if I could use WD-40 on the sway bar polyurethane bushing? The use of WD-40 said it'll Tone Down the shine of polyurethane coating, not sure if that means it'll eat into the bushing... |

If the WD-40 does nothing to the polyurethane (I suspect it would not), it would clearly dissolve any grease you have left. It could thus make the situation worse.
