Scratched brake rotors

1 week ago I noticed my brakes were squeaking so I brought my 135 in the BMW and got them to look at the brakes.

I got the car back after a couple hours and was happy the squeaking was gone.
However today when I was checking the tire pressure for my wheels, I noticed this on my front brake rotors:

Seriously wtf, I am going to head back to the dealership tmrw and flip a table.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear what happened. I don't blame you for being

I'm keen to see what they have to say. You should get a set of new rotors free of charge at the very least IMHO. I'd push for the Performance rotors or see if you can pay the difference to upgrade. Good luck.

I let my sales guy know and he was pretty suprised about the damage too.
I left the car at the dealership since it's a Sunday and I'll keep updating this situation but I expect new rotors free of charge at the least.

And this is 2 days after the shuttle driver bailing on me and not picking me up after my service was complete.

Me and GM are going to have a long talk about this.

Wow.. ive seen alot of rotors scuffed up to get rid of the ridge ( the ridge that is formed as the pad wears into the rotor is a common cause of squeaks) but not like that..

some guys just scuff the outer edge with a 3m sanding cookie, and maybe hit the edge by the hat, but the pics show deepper scratches that can be formed from one of the cookies..almost looks like a grinder, but the circumfrence of the scratches looks like a small disc??

the real "repair" is to chamfer the edge of the pad to fall into the groove.. they may have done this also, but cant tell because no pic of the pads.

the 'scratches" in the meat of the rotor will soon disapear as it is driven...but still..

Looks like whatever the tech was using to sand down the edges of your rotors got away from him more than once. Regardless of how deep the scratches are, I'd be asking for a new set of rotors on the dealership's dime.

Soo I got my car back today and apparently
They sanded it down and after a while the scratches go away...

However, I will defiantly monitor this closely and see what happens

Did you ask why they used a drill bit to sand your rotors?

But like I said if it does not get any better
I will make them give me new rotors

Okay so I have had about 1000kms on the car after bringing the car in

The half circle scratches are gone but there is still the inner "buffed" circumference on the inside of the rotors

Any thoughts?
