n55 carbon build up?

Hey, was wondering if anyone with an n55 platform has gone ahead and checked their intake ports yet for carbon build up. My 2011 has 16,000 miles on it and im wondering if i should pull the trigger on a BMS catch can to slow down carbon problems, but so far all the pictures of the build up ive seen have been on n54 platforms, and apparently from some posts ive read, the n55 is supposed to have drastically less for some reason. Should i go ahead and buy the catch can anyways just to be safe?

There's a N55 135i here in the UK that's done 83,000 miles and still seems to be running OK (just needed a new gearbox though!)
