135i custom driveshaft parts
Not sure this will be helpful or not but just went through getting a customer shorten driveshaft made (for an n54 8HP swap), and thought these part numbers might be helpful for someone in the future.
The shaft needed to be shortened, but can't be because they are friction welded from the factory. https://universaldriveshafts.com/product/2726-258u/ - Transmission side 3 post flange. this was the same for the manual getting removed and the 8HP. https://universaldriveshafts.com/product/2752-8734u/ - weird threaded diff flange, hardest part to track down. https://universaldriveshafts.com/product/2780-59u/ - Center support bearing. Other than that, the shaft was built with some pretty standard spline section/1310 ujoints. Should be rated for 800+hp. It was also hard to find a local shop that would take the project on because of the odd flanges. If you are in the area, https://www.dlsofnj.com/ Driveline service of NJ was super helpful and I would recommend. Hope these part listings can help someone! |
