Need help with tire size for BAGGED 135i

Hello,

Looking to get some help with tire size! Not good with tires, I just learned all about wheel size so maybe someone can help me out with tires. If you know the best size possible for my car that would be great too. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 2008 135i, set of CCW LM20's front : 18x8.5 38et, back: 18x10 50et.

i have air ride suspension going to be installed. looking to get the best fitment for either tucked tires or small poke. Not sure what i will be doing more worried about tires that will fit!

Any other question let me know and I will respond asap. The sooner I get my tires the sooner I can install everything and have my car ready for some shows!

Thanks to anyone that can help me out!

Judging from the offsets you would be looking at 225/40 front and 255/35 rear. Front fenders may need a light rolling and trim the bumper tabs if you want to be able to steer.

Rear fenders should fit the 255/35 without mods. That is good because it seems the rear fenders are not readily able to be rolled or pulled. If you decide to mod the rear fenders you could fit a 265/35 tire on the 10" rim.

Garage List
I've never worked with bagged cars. The guys that do seem to be camber experts. That will be your issue here. How much camber will the car hit as lowered. Both wheel offsets are excellent, but they are pretty wide for our cars (I do understand that slammed cars also go for that look with wide wheels).

I'd think you would have to run camber plates up front to get an 8.5" wheel at that offset to work well when you go really low. I'd also think you'd need to do some inside the fender work. As long as you run a tire that runs very small like a Falken or Toyo I'd try a 225, but I'd look into dropping the height and go with a 35 profile if I could also work out a 30 profile in the rear.

In the rear I also think you'll need to adjust the car to max stock camber, and then you might need a tad more plus some inside fender work. For sure I'd cut out the fender liner. I'd run a 255/30/18 tire that runs small like a Falken or Toyo.

Good luck.
