Anyone have a 1M with 335is style grills (black surround with chrome slats)?

The 335is comes with black grills with chrome slats. I like the subtle contrast it gives and am looking to do this on my BSM 1M and wanted to know if anyone has done this. If so, can you post some pics?

Thanks in advance!

Alternative: chrome kidneys (suiting very well if you have the Chrome Line trim).

Thanks Artemis. I've seen the all chrome as well (they come standard on the 135/128) but since I don't have the chrome trim it might be a bit too much chrome. I want a more aggressive look which the black/chrome combo will offer.

Looks like I may be the first to do this!

PS. if someone can photoshop the pictures Artemis posted above to have a black surround and chrome inner grill that would be appreciated!

I agree that it looks great, better than the full chrome or fully black ones imo.

What about the chrome surround and black slats from the 135is? I imagine those would be pretty easy to come by as well and should fit perfectly. There are pics of several black 135is's on here to give you an idea of what that would potentially look like.

Here's a black one:

The 1M actually comes stock with the chrome surround and black slats also. I want a more aggressive look which I think the black surround and chrome slats will give.

I finally decided to go with CF outer kidneys with chrome inner slats since I have a CF lip. Btw, also not that I have my FMIC black anodized.

Been meaning to post pics of my grill. Finally got around to taking one after being stranded on the side of an exit ramp in the Atlanta snowpacalypse. Enjoy

There's a car from the UK running this set up. I'm a fan.

I love that look on BSM; already switched to all black Performance, but am tempted by this. Anyone out there with this on VO that can put up a pic?

Exactly right.

These are from an E84 but ours are built the same.

I pull mine out and disassemble them for cleaning when I do my periodical mega details...

That's exactly what I did. I bought a set off a 135 coupe and then I could've used the outer from the performance grille, but I ended up using plastidip to make the outer ring black.
