I would like -
More steering feel and fewer turns lock to lock.
A bit more slip in intermediate traction control mode.
More throttle response. I default to M mode every time I drive.
Delete the bloody start up message. ( I know how to drive a car in traffic and if someone else doesn't then that message isn't going to change anything )
A less snappy rear end that doesn't need the reflexes of a cat to catch.
A body work design that hides the gap over the front wheel.
The exhaust drone. I am very surprised a BMW has this problem. Even Kias and Hyundais don't drone.
More legible instruments. They are actually quite difficult to see in certain light conditions such as in Australia with our harsh light . Ditto the satnav screen with sun glasses on.

I think that's it.

Steering feel improves with lighter wheels
If only we can upgrade the 1M to the M5 MDM mode - the M5 one is just right
The start up message is never going to disappear, but someone should be able to code it
Snappy rear end - I am working on it - how much are you willing to part?
The gap over the front wheel - ohlins USA felt that lowering the front by about 2cm gives the best overall balance - I didn't remember how much it was lowered at the rear. This could be coupled with different spring rates though, especially they soften the rear rates.
The exhaust drone - get an akrapovic - actually it still drones - between 1800-2000 rpm with medium load - ie 60km in fourth, 80km in sixth going up hill. No more 110km drone though
I never remember the reflection problem is that bad - may be I just need sunnies.

Start up message?

Snappy rear end? Change the PS2s for some kind of Supersports to get a smoother transition. Wintertyres help too

Cheers

A lot of older pumps just dont like the car.
We should probably start a new thread then. This is the first I have ever heard of this. I have filled up my 1M in 6 different countries, 17K miles and with the small tank, that is a lot of fill ups and have never had a single issue filling it up. I still think AYAO should get it looked at.

Cheers

+1. Never had any issues here in Chile as well, he better gets it checked.

Here are two threads that I found quickly. Its tough because any mention of the word pump just brings back a bunch of HPFP threads.

Ive been just about everywhere east of the Mississippi in my and up into Canada 85K mile 135 - its just some pumps that pop.

My only complaint is that I have an absurdly difficult time getting the car filled up with gas. Once I insert the gas pump it takes all sorts of wrangling, jamming and thrusting to get the gas to flow without the pump immediately auto-shutting off. It's like prom night all over again...
LOL! Man soo funny, at first I was like this sounds odd...

Than read the punch line.

Sounds like you bought the wrong car.
Wheel gap easily fixed? So on a brand new M car I have to do springs or coil overs?

The seats are garbage by any stretch. I'm not sure what cars you're from, but they're just plain crap.

Listen to any AMG stock...

The GTS orange is 10 times better. Burnt metallic orange is for Kias.

$60k+ for a car is hardly cheap so why shouldn't I expect certain things?
