The 1'er is officially no longer mine!

And for the record, I used Carvana to sell it. Shockingly good offer, and the stupidest easiest process I've ever seen or used to sell a car.

I bet the offer was decently high. When I was looking for a 1er, the cars on that site were definitely higher than average. Even so, the convenience of selling to them is worth 1k to me.. so nice sell.

And don't worry about the Alfa. No I wouldn't keep/own it long term, but you're not. And they lease better than anything else out there.. literally. They're a clear favorite on lease hackr. Enjoy the new car.

Swapped in the LCI lights. My pre LCI wouldn't light the outside halos and these seem to be very dim or possibly not lighting either. I'm thinking it might be a coding issue? I'm going to wait until night and really mess around with coding on them. See if I can figure it out. Included a pic from the seller as to how bright they should be during nighttime

Possible coding issues aside, the lights themselves look a lot better. definitely updates the front end quite a bit

Much better looking in the shade. I've gotta figure out how to take some of that brightness from the left inside halo and give it to the outside one. Gabe mentioned I might have to turn the bulb? Does that make sense to anyone?

I would like one of those, but from what I heard parts like disk breaks, etc are way to expensive. More like stupid expensive. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

2013 N55 w/83k miles.

I had a bad oil leak from the oil filet/cooler housing and then developed a coolant leak. I didn't want to deal with playing Inspector Gadget so took apart and replaced everything. Since it's been quite a long time since it had any work done.

New oil cooler gaskets
New water pump
New thermostat
New Aluminum wrapped thermo - water pump hosing
Active Autowerke charge pipe
Wagner Evo1 Competition FMIC
New spark plugs
Fresh Oil
Fresh coolant

Took the car for some highway miles to get the temps up and let everything settle a bit but i'm throwing up some crazy codes right now so I'll need to check those out and see what the story is there. No leaks though! I'm just happy to have put everything back together.

Blew the cobwebs out on an onramp. Once the oil was warm, of course.

As I continue to go down the rabbit hole of weight reduction/track-inspired modifications... bucket seats were next up on the list.

Out with the old...

All done!

Surprisingly, the stock seats weigh a massive 59.6 lbs! For comparison, the FX1 Pro and bracket weigh 27.4 lbs. That’s a difference of 32.2 lbs, bringing the total weight loss to 64.4 lbs for the front seats. I’ll take it! I also previously removed the rear seats, which saved about 55 lbs.

Next up; a carbon fiber sunroof delete and carbon fiber door panels!

Cool seats! You might look into the armrest delete to save more weight and add to the race look!

Haha, what you came for is at 14:20...

I'd do a CF roof if it wasn't such a PITA (and expensive).

Expansion tank cracked so I replaced it and did a coolant flush at the same time.

In the picture from left to right. First 3 samples were drain 'n fill with water. Then used the water pump to flush until clear (last bottle).

Heading to the track tonight so fingers crossed!!!

Been away from her for too long.
Girls liked the Mustang 'vert we rented (bigger boot and back seat, I suppose), but to me, it is no substitute. So glad to drive 'er again!
