Ordered the Double Barrel from Tony.

I've been looking over all the fueling solutions to do more power and I just don't feel comfortable with a bunch of other computers doing work and being possible problems with no way to diagnose them. My feeling is that retaining as much of the stock setup as possible will reduce problems and keep the ability to diagnose when things go wrong.
So I'm staying DI only. Hopefully it's the correct choice.

Unhappy about launching, or what do you think caused it?

I hear the manual trans is significantly stronger

I think it's something like that.
But with something like 500 track launches behind it, it's stood up quite well. Not to mention the 100,000 miles I got out of it.

And I'd put an open challenge out there for a manual to stand that same abuse.

Took about a month!!!!

Today I removed my cabin/cowl filter and installed a new one. The filter was SO DIRTY! Probably never been changed. The cabin didn't have any smell out the ordinary but now it's fresh.

I didn't mention it here but past 3 weeks I went to the dealer twice to take care of 2 recalls. Front driver airbag and blower motor wiring.

Have a set of the standard ARC-8 staggered wheels 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. currently have 235s up front but will be putting 255s once these wear out. I have camber plates so do have the room for 255s. I run 255s square for track days.

Finally blew up the stock charge pipe. Been FBO on 21+ PSI for 3 years and it finally went - sounded like an explosion under the hood, thought maybe I had blown the motor but no smoke, no CEL.

Luckily the car is driveable while I decide with aftermarket option to go with.

New here!

Just got my 135i N54 a month ago. Super happy but there are some issues: cylinder misfired, window lifter going bonkers, Windshield washer pump + adaptive headlamps not working.

New oil, replaced all seals, coil, injectors, spark plugs, walnut blasting, serpentine belt pulley, window lifters, headlamp ballasts, washer pump.

Bought a M3 m performance alcantara steering wheel but realised steptronic paddle unit couldn't be fitted into it. However, I did manage to install nelsonracing wheel shifter Kits.
In the meantime, i'll have to look for M3 paddle shifter unit.

Now, my car is having boost leak (30FF) after the fix. Do hope the shop is able to pinpoint the issue. Arh!

Good luck with those issues mate, keep that wallet open.

I've just taken possession of a new thermostat, water pump and all-aluminium radiator. They won't be fitted until next week though.

I need some advice if anyone has experience of buying a vehicle with a rebuilt title. Before everyone crawls up my shorts about this, I understand the implications of resale, insurance and financing issues.
The car itself is a 2010 M3 vert, low miles and is 17K. It's a steal.
The car dealer states that they bought it as a rebuilt title and has no knowledge of the reasons for it's original salvage. They say they replaced the pump to get the roof working and that was it. Since I'm looking for one of these cars the lack of resale value doesn't bother me. I could buy one for twice the price and lose 50% over the next few years and end up with the same loss.

So my question is, how do I find out what caused the car to be rebranded as a salvage ? I've searched around online and can't find any salvage yard pictures of this vehicle by VIN so I'm kind of at a loss. Will a carfax or autocheck tell me what caused the loss or will it just say "salvage" ?
If it was stolen/recovered I'm totally ok with that but if it's been in a serious collision then I'll pass.
In any event I would take it to a dealership to get a pre-purchase inspection.

Anyone know ?

Thanks in advance :-)

No the errors came before the flash and even before i swapped out my coils and plugs. I started a new thread to get some answers and I've got a feeling its going to be the Steering Angle Sensor.

Thanks heaps. Have been reading a lot from 1addicts. Definitely keeping some stash for the works.

Good news though, the shop realised they didn't tighten the intercooler hose camp.

Moving on. Probably gonna look into suspension and MHD+xHP.
