Berk Race Axle back or Berk street Performance Axle back?

Hi Guys,
I have an 09 135i convertible its completely stock. I have the little golf tee mod, but i want to put an axle back. I want it to be a little louder and hopefully have a nice burble. My question is does the berk street sound any different than stock (louder)? And is the muffler delete too much (too loud)? its a daily driver and automatic with paddle shifts. Or will just the Berk midpipes do the job?

Thanks in advance

yes berk street sounds different than stock. berk race causes cabin droning, I wouldn't recommend for daily.

Berk mids will most likely give you what you seem to be describing; slightly more exotic sounding while maintaining lower decibel levels

Yes, berk street sounds different than stock. Its more of a tone change than volume change IMO. Changing your midpipe will add a bit of volume and change tone. You'll also get a slight bump in performance by deleting the secondary cats.

I have a berk street axle back with N55 midpipe and bmw performance y-pipe (basically straight midpipe I.e. Deleted secondary cats and resonator). I like the sound and its not too loud. Slight drone at 2.5k rpm but minimal. I did the exhaust in increments and noticed the biggest jump in volume by deleting the resonator last. I'd recommend trying the berk street first and if you want more swap your N54 midpipe for a N55 midpipe. IF you still want more, delete the resonator with a OEM performance Y-pipe.

Thanks for the info, im leaning more towards the street axle back now, hopefully i will notice a difference in sound and a bit of increase in volume..Berk has a delay on the midpipes until November lol...

The BMW OEM N55 mid pipe will net you the same result as the Berk Midpipe. Just throwing that out there in case you didn't realize. Good luck.
