Intalled mine about an hour ago. Very easy to follow the instructions. Thank you Andy.

I'm just not sure if I did or did not break anything in the vent cover , I guess I'll know if I it comes loose

Planning on definitely getting the parcel net and just noticed the seat belt holder. How useful is that holder for a convertible?

Andy, you should add the mudflaps to your list of accessories as well as the trunk net, I got both but from different sources, would've used you if you had them.

Coupes can’t use the trunk net. I need to see the mudflaps.

But convertibles can.

Here the mudflaps are on a white car http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ighlight=flaps

I can post some pictures on a black if wanted.

I wouldn't plan on the pricing going down. I was just referencing that BMW part pricing is all over the price now.

Based on all the positive posts here I don't believe what my dealer is telling me but let me put it out there for opinions. My BMW dealer (service) tells me that the installation of this switch will deactivate the adaptive brake lights feature.

Probably - but only when the fog light switch is on. It's a hard one to test by yourself.

+1 Only way I can see the adaptiev breaklights not working is if your fogs are on.

Just get a friend to observe you make a hard/emmergency stop (in a controlled setting ofcourse) when your fogs are not in use.

Even if it were to be the case, I recon the fog feature can 'save' you out of more situations (e.g. all winter long) than the adaptive break light feature.

i was concerned about this as well. I had my wife follow me in a HS parking lot.

Hit the brakes hard and the adaptive lights came on as they should. So they only "dont work" if you have your rear fog lights turned on.

IMHO... the adaptive brake lights is simply a gimmick for US market and an exuse not to trust dumb americans with the use of the rear fogs (which I have to agree with 100%)

There are enough brake lighting back there.

Yes it's the exact switch, although the m3's don't utilize front
fogs but you can enable the rears using this mod.

It looks exactly the same as the one I bought for my 1. Is it a different shape?

You're correct. M3's do not have fogs. but they do have rear fogs that need the euro switch to enable them.

Don't worry, neither does the 135i, but I bought the switch for the 128i (which has a button for front fogs) in case at some point I decide to retrofit some. The light on the dash will display (should you press the front fog button), but obviously nothing will come on, so don't worry.
