Valve cover gasket
For you guys that have changed plugs several times or switched coil packs to find a miss fire how often should the gasket be changed? Thanks for any info

I would have to say this is something that is normally done after a leak is found, or a crack in the gasket. I was thinking about doing this any way in addition to the plug gaskets as a preventative measure. Maybe every four yrs (?).

^^yea... I wouldn't mess with it unless it is leaking oil (onto your plugs(inside) or outwards onto your cylinderhead/engine).
Btw... a leaking valve cover can also cause a rough idle since it causes a vacuum leak. So unless you had a rough cold start idle or an oil leak... I would not mess with it. |
