Production maybe, but they will need to stock-pile cars at dealers before the official launch. In the UK I've been told it will be mid-May

Yep thats correct as far as I am aware. The first cars are going into production from the 7th of March (if I remember correctly) and then delivery of these should be around mid May - June.

I don't quite see why some would put lowering springs on this M, other than for appearance? To each their own and that's totally cool but i think the M3 suspension that it will come with is more than capable of handling any track days or mountain twisties you will throw at it.....
I think its ride height is just fine but that is my personal preference. Lowering it would give a little more aggressive stance?

It not only will look better, it should handle better too.

The stock E9x M3 is just a bit too soft for my tastes. I've ridden in one with stiffer springs and found it much more to my liking.

I'm thinking (dreaming) about:

Performance seats

A rear spoiler that looks like this? (the rest is yuck)

Otherwise, the BMW CF performance rear spoiler.

As the 1M will be daily driver, I'm looking for a tuning solution that will give me EDC like with M3, comfort and sport. Roads are often in pretty bad shape over here, but I enjoy the occasional track day.
Maybe with Billstein B16 ride control, modified for 1M, with comfort being more comfortable than standard 1M suspension, and sport somewhat firmer than standard 1M suspension.

The new, Mk2, performance steering wheel. I like it

Model 2012 UR93 1M coup, AW with Nav, production march, delivery april unless bmw wants to delay delivery!! I placed the order january 26 in the morning!!

Was to exited.. sorry I forgot to ask if the kidney lining could come black! but I'm pretty certain it's not possible..

For my canadian friends, the sales rep at BMW laval told me that the word was (not discout on 1M) but a gift like a watch or blabla.. they sold 9 1M with delivery in april, juin and jully..

If I did get a 1M I'd say just the performance kidneys and cf lip spoiler. I'd leave the suspension alone since BMW has put in a fair bit of money designing it I don't think I can do better.

Where did you here that?? IT means, the cars will sit somewhere for a couple of weeks!! and not be delivered in april!!!!!

, my production number is for march!!! and I cant sleep!!! I may have healt problems if it takes to long..

A guy from Germany has posted in another forum that he has put his order 14.1.2011 and the delivery is going to be at June. Unless you've allocated much earlier.

I gave my deposit 5 months ago, but the official order was placed on january 26.., my rep tells me the first 3 cars they ordered was for march production, and delivery for april (papers in hand)UNLESS BMW DOES NOT WANT TO REALESE THE cars

before May...

My dealership as about 3 cars allocated per month of production..

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH you lucky guy!!! first of all, the roads in quebec province very nive but in very very bad condition!! thats why I will keep my car stock!! Your are very well educated people and lucky to speek 3 to 4 languages!!! I'm an F1 fan!!, and Spa is not only a good circuit, C'est tres tres beau!!! a dream!!!

those of you who are thinking of lowering the car, would you know if ST Coilover will fit. If so, which one you would recommend; v1, v2, v3? are their any downside?
any one also considering upgrading to 20" rims? if so what's the best offset?
