Square setup with stock wheels question
My front tires are just about shot, so I bought 225/45-17s to match my rear tires to give me a square setup with my stock wheels (Style 370).
The only oddity is that my front wheels are 7 inches wide while my rears are 7.5 inches wide. How much will that affect (if at all) the handling? And because the wheels are not the same width, would it be inadvisable to rotate the tires?

You would get a bit more steering response if you had front rims with matching width. Although what you have done seems like a perfectly good choice to me.
Rotating the mismatched wheels is a bad idea IMO. If you do that, ie. putting the 7" on the rear, the car may have a loose feeling when you turn into a corner. In other words it would be bad for handling stability. |

You could try the old autox trick of painting three or four lines of white shoe polish on your sidewalls from rim to tread, then driving aggressively. You'll see how much roll-over you get on the sidewalls front and rear; you can then balance this to your liking by adjusting tire pressures.
