Cars back together. Test drive went fine.
I'll have to get the old diff apart and ship it off. At least I'm not in any rush now.

Goofy verts had both like that. I'm currently trying to figure out if I wanna do a euro trunk without the sharkfin or do a coupe duckbill trunk and modify it for the vert

Weird. Are they both functional? Duckbill on a vert can look good if you keep the lines going right.

I don't use either regular or satellite radio so they're both useless to me. Ultimately next year's plan to paint the car also includes shaving the side antenna. I'm actually leaning towards a clean sharkfin-less euro trunk. I was thinking I might buy an E92 high kick spoiler and fit it to the euro E88 trunk. I like doing new stuff

Did one quarter today. Skirt and bumper aren't fully bolted on in this pic. And the front fenders need to be redone. Didnt anticipate water getting under the vinyl there with the side markers not in yet.

I'm also not happy with the bodywork on the quarters. Those are going to be readdressed at some point. Maybe pull the vinyl off, fix the bodywork, and rewrap or just wait until I paint the car.

What I did today....waiting on the postman to deliver my new exhaust manifold studs since the other day I had 5 of them break on me while pulling the exhaust manifolds to install my headers!

I just decided to replace them all.

My old Golf TDI had 255k. I know, not quite the same. Hoping I can get at least 200k out of my 1er as well. That should be 4-5 years at my normal rate.

So got this buttoned up yesterday afternoon after the head studs showed up a day late. When the sun comes up, I will finish the rest of my exhaust which includes removing the OEM resonator, and replacing everything with a new Magnaflow system which includes their resonator and muffler.

I kept the secondary cats in place. Once finished, I have my Stage 2 tune from Bob waiting to load up. Can't wait to hear how it sounds.

Just fitted tweeter covers for the a pillars combined with Eton speaker upgrade. Still had the base audio package and having tweeters now makes a big difference. These really sound great!

Achieved 110,000 miles this morning!
Clutch is slipping; SES light came on a few days back; needs an alignment since I swapped Swift out for Eibach springs. So she's got an appointment set up for next Friday.
