Should we start a 1 M Club in Vancouver???
Hi everyone,
I am new to 1 addicts. I am in Vancouver, currently driving a 335i coupe. I have ordered a AW 1 M, June production hopefully it will be here by the end of July Since there are only 200 coming to Canada, I wonder how many will be coming to BC or Vancouver? |

Hey guys. Anyone have any insight as to which Montreal dealer might have a production slot opening or a cancelled order coming in? I'd be interested in a white fully loaded M coupe. My neighbor has one and I smile each time I go to our garage. He started it up In the garage and wow what an amazing stock cold start. I was set on an m3 but the allure of a turbo and small chassis has me coming back to this one.

My SA told me that Park Shore BMW weren't getting any, Autowest was only getting 1, and Burrard and Brian Jessel were getting just a handful. But I'm thinking that's mainly SA talk to make it sound more exclusive, I imagine with 200 coming to canada we'd split majority of the 200 with Montreal and Toronto (my guess would be 50 each). We should definitely get a meet going, maybe near the end of summer in August so more people have their cars? Maybe include some 128i and 135i guys? |

Mine is from BJ. They had 2 for June production and I got one of them. It seems like BMW only allocate the dealerships (with high sales volume) several per month. I am sure the 128, 135 guys already have their own club. Since this is a limited car, we should try to have all the 1 M guys in lower mainland only to start. A track day at Mission Raceway would be fun! Is yours VO? Do you have the ash tray cover on the centre console. I have seen some pictures with ash tray cover, but some are just storage instead. Not sure if that is an option?

i will contact the rep i saw, going to Canbec this afternoon also, going to get my car evaluated. And at same time put it up for sale on Kijiji and hebdo and see if i can sell it that way. I really am bitten by this car.
Might be a dumb question, but did you guys pay full price for the car? or did they wiggle even the tinniest discount? |

So, I gave up tracking my 1M on BMWUSA, and called the Canada BMW 1-800#. The nice lady on the phone informed me that my car has been built, and is already awaiting shipment!! I have to call her back and figure out what date it began waiting for shipment, because there is a ship leaving Bremerhaven today. I doubt it will be on that one, but fingers crossed. The next ship leaves June 15 for Halifax. Then I figured out using the www.cn.ca website that it takes approx 8 days to travel from Halifax to Saskatoon. So, June 15+12 days by sea+8 by rail=ETA at dealership of July 5th, plus any delays. ETA dealer gave me was July 10-17th. Awesome.

What do you mean by the "higher delivery cost"? Are you talking about the PDI? How much does Auto West charge? Thanks.

OK. Maybe I was a bit naive in believing I was getting the first one. No, my personality would not allow for me to get the VO. I went for the more subdued BSM.

Don't cars normally depreciate when you drive them off the lot? Brutal.
