Power steering failure.

Anyone had power steering failure?

Seems the pump has failed on my car. It didn't like the Nulon nations motorkhana and failed on the 2nd run.

Is it possible to get it rebuilt or buy a reconditioned one in Aus?

Or is it a case of buying a new one?

It is a non-active steering hydro pump run off belt in the e87 130i. Seems it is the same part for the e82 135i.

Wow, so it failed WHILE you were driving in your event? When was the last time you checked the hydraulic fluid?

Just get another 2nd hand pump, it is not common for them to fail.

Yes failed during the Motokhana event at Nulon nationals on Sunday.

Plenty of fluid and no fluid loss just not pumping.
Must admit i had not changed the fluid in the 25,000KM i have had the car.
Currently at 108,000KM

Finally got it replaced.
The PS pump shaft had snapped.
