Steering angle codes after installing aftermarket wheel

I recently installed a momo steering wheel and now I am getting 2 codes that seem to be related to the steering angle sensor. I am figuring nothing is actually wrong but do I need to code something out? Is this normal? The 2 codes I'm receiving are 5e48 and 9520

Weird. Steering angle is built into the SZL, has nothing to do with the steering wheel itself. Did you try clearing it and seeing if it comes back? If that doesn't work you may have to relearn the limits... I think you can do that with INPA.

So I think the issue is my quick release is directly to to column so the clock spring doesn't move . Is it possible to eliminate the need for a clock spring?

Update! So the car hates when you are moving and turning the wheel but the clock spring isn't moving. I am using this hub that doesnt attach to the clock spring which was the issue. https://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac...e9x-p2362.aspx

I 3d printed an adapter that connects the hub to the clock spring, this is the proof of concept, the one on the car is thicker and made of ABS. Hopefully it stays on fine, I epoxied it to the VAC hub so it shouldn't move anywhere.

Yeah looks like you got it figured out... the clock spring definitely needs to rotate.
