Help!!

Ok,
So I filled out a purchase order and signed it yesterday, for a PC delivery of a 135i coupe in late May / early June. I was told there was an allocation for a coupe at my dealership, but when I tried to get my production number today, my CA said: "I was unaware at the time that we had run out of allocations for the 135i coupe. We are trying to acquire a coupe allocation from another dealer in exchange for a convertible allocation. Since we are doing this well in advance, there is no reason to be too concerned."

As you may expect, I AM CONCERNED. Should I be?

In my experience, dealers tend to be able to work stuff like that out. I wouldn't be worried.

I don't work in BMW sales but I do work at a commercial truck dealership. I would not worry. Dealer trades and transfers are a pretty common thing. To be honest, right now with the slow market I have more sales to other dealers in different parts of the country than to customers here in PA. HOWEVER, this is a car in high demand so it is not a sure thing that another dealer will trade their allocation.
