19x9.5 ET45 rears - is it possible???
Well, in my incredible run of bad luck with VMR, somehow I found another type of wheel that is on their website, yet apparently doesn't exist. I swear, all I want is a set of wheels for my car, is that too much to ask???
Anyway, I was wondering if a 19x9.5 rear wheel with a 45 offset will fit without modification. VMR said it "should fit with the right tire", however Im not a big fan of the word "should", I like the word "will" a lot more. So, will it fit? Or should I request the ET50 offset instead, and probably wait longer??? My suspension is bone stock, but Im worried about rubbing. |

Yep, I'd wait on the et50 also. Tons of us have 9.5 wide rears with et45. On my stock suspension before rolling with 245/35 Hankooks tires it would very rarely rub, mainly with passengers.

Thanks guys. This goes along with the nightmare I've been dealing with for almost a year now. I'm switching to 19's instead. After a year, Im a bit impatient, but I asked if it would be difficult to get ET50 instead.
BTW, off topic, what does the "ET" stand for? |

i'm running 19x9.5 and ET 45 with a drop and it rubs when turning at a medium to aggressive speeds or when you hit a bump.
Wait and get an ET 50 if and when they decide to release them. For those of you who are rubbing on this setup, are you noticing any extra tire wear? My tires are getting to the point where I can visually see scrapped off sidewall where it rubs the fender. |

255 might be tricky, MAYBE the Hankooks will work, not the Yokos for sure. Only way to find out is try. |

Wheels are usually stamped with their offset using the German prefix "ET", meaning "Einpresstiefe" or, literally, "press depth". An example would be "ET45" for a 45mm offset.

Well, heard back from the vendor, after he spoke with VMR, no ETA on a ET50 rear wheel, and Im not playing that waiting game again. Going with the ET45's.
Thanks for the input guys. |

+1 I'm running 245/35/19 45ET on the rear. No issues. If you are talking about running this on the front, it's not going to happen. I chose the 245 because the 255 sizes are limited. I had 4 to choose from. 245's more than 10. Less expensive too.

9.5 +45 will work no problem
just go w/ a 245/30-19 to be safe, a 255/30 is doable but you HAVE to roll your fenders. I run a 265/30 and have light rubbing on large dips or bad RR crossings, etc |

On sunday I just had my new VMR V713's put on. The rear is 19x9.5 with et 45 and I wouldn't change a thing to get a 255/30/19 on there. I hit a dip at 110 mph on rt 18 and it only rubbed slightly. Not enough to annoy me.
I will be getting my fenders rolled because I'm going to drop it on HR OE sport springs right now my suspension is stock. Go with the et 45.

w/ a 245, 100% you wont rub, w/ a 255 there is always a slight change depending on how the roads by you are. If someone can roll your fenders, then you can run a 255 no problem |
