Lets be for real. Its just like the way a fully loaded Nissan Sentra comes up to the same price as a base Altima. All manufactures class of cars overlap pricing based on car class and options.

As I've stated rather, uh, dramatically elsewhere in this forum: all US 1-Series models will be 2009 cars, a practice that is extremely common when manufacturers introduce cars in the middle of a model year. The fact that they'll be 2008s in Europe is completely immaterial.

BMW can legally call them 2009s since they'll be introduced in late-March 2008, so why on Earth would they not take advantage of that fact?
